Individual Counseling
Individual counseling focuses on one client. Typically meetings are once a week to once a month, but are based on your treatment needs. Sessions last about 45 minutes per hour,  excluding the first session, which is 50-60 minutes. Individual counseling is different for each person. There may be times clients will leave feeling energized. Other times, it takes a few sessions to notice progress. Be prepared for an adventure of self-discovery.

Family Counseling
Family counseling focuses on the family unit. Typically, meetings are once a week to once a month, but are based on the family’s treatment needs, sometimes with the entire family unit, sometimes with individual members. This is a good option to help improve family dynamics and patterns. Family counseling is great for tight knit members who are willing to hear each other out and make changes, but are unsure on how to go about it.

Couples Counseling
Couples counseling focuses on the couple. Typically meetings are once a week to once a month, but are based on the couple’s treatment needs. Generally, I would only see the couple for couple’s counseling or the individual for individual counseling. This is a good option to help improve couples’ dynamics and patterns. Couples counseling is great for couples that would like to improve communication and grow together.

Group Counseling
On occasion, I offer groups based on my areas of expertise: substance use, negative thinking, drama and coping skills. Our groups tend to be process-oriented, and may feature therapeutic and teaching elements. Feel free to ask which groups I am currently offering.

Career/College Counseling
I enjoy helping clients discover their interests and help them turn those ideas in career
opportunities. I use different assessment measures and utilize government tools to easily
show data. Being a former student, I know what it's like to go through the process of
picking a college and career. Let’s explore your potential.

Assistive Technology Training
Assistive technology devices are products that improve a person's ability to function, for example text-to-speech and speech-to-text software. Assistive technology helps senior citizens and people with disabilities work around their challenges. I worked as an assistive technology trainer at the University of North Carolina and East Carolina University. If you would like to explore how assistive technology may help you, please let me know.
